Ian Bashford
Born in Glasgow / Scotland
Studied at Grays School of Art, Aberdeen, Scotland; specialising in woven textile design and graphic design. Gained an R.S.A.D. travel bursary to Switzerland and Italy.
After a post-graduate year at Leeds University studying industrial textile design and manufacture, returned to Aberdeen for teacher training at Aberdeen College of Education.
Works predominately in watercolour and acrylic and is strongly influenced by the richness and colour of the coast and landscape of Scotland.
2018 saw him exhibit at the Gallery Fabrica La Aurora in San Miguel, Mexico.
Paintings now hang worldwide including Britain, America, Israel, Italy and Mexico.
