I’m not sure if this is my last Bananafish painting or not.  There may be some who hope so.  Originally inspired by JD Salinger’s short story ‘A Perfect Day for Bananafish’, I began to imagine my own narrative for these illusive creatures.  Inevitably it ends in tragedy with the arrival of the Pistolfish (another case of survival of the fortuitous perhaps?).
